Beware dedication to your company

Especially if you're working in the technology sector - even if you're not in a technical sort of job (maybe you're an accountant - doesn't matter) - beware your dedication is not blind. Companies die out, lay off, get bought, go the wrong way and just disappear all the time. Don't just take other jobs because you can; job hopping is silly - don't skip around here and there for 1% more pay. Just watch your options and don't pass up another great job if you can help it.
